BERAPA NAJIB DAPAT DARI KONTRAK RM300 B PANELPOINT?

Syarikat tempatan yang hanya dikenali PanelPoint Sdn Bhd mengumumkan usahanya membentuk sebuah konsortium bagi membangunkan saluran paip gas 8,000 kilometer menghubungkan negara-negara Asean termasuk Malaysia dengan China melibatkan pelaburan AS$100 bilion (RM300 bilion).

Bagaimanapun wartawan yang skeptikal tidak memperoleh banyak maklumat mengenai usaha sama itu, yang bakal membangunkan projek dikenali sebagai saluran paip Trans-Asian Oil and Gas (TOAG).

Syarikat itu melalui CEOnya Che Nordin Ismail berkata mereka telah menerima restu secara hitam putih daripada perdana menteri, DS Najib Tun Razak.

The government, he said, has been very supportive of the private project and PanelPoint received the go-ahead from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak earlier this month.

"All other foreign governments involved with this project are well aware of the development through their representatives," Che Nordin said, adding that PanelPoint was yet to sign any official documents with the governments or officials regarding the pipeline," Che Nordin said.

A privately funded project, principally by Rochester Foundation Inc USA, the development of TAOG is expected to see close collaboration among foreign and local corporations, financial institutions and industry experts.
